Make Media Matter is IFC's (The Independent Film Channel) nationwide public affairs initiative. Make Media Matter is an interactive forum for fostering a deeper understanding of the vital role media plays in our lives, society and world. Bringing together information and expertise from universities around the nation, IFC has created a place to challenge, prepare, inspire and empower people to consume and create media in more meaningful ways.

WE tv


WE Empowers Women created in 2005, is WE tv's nationwide public affairs initiative dedicated to creating projects and programs that foster and celebrate the intelligence, strength, confidence, diversity and leadership of women. In 2008, the initiative launched WE Vote '08, a campaign dedicated to empowering women to register to vote so they could cast their ballots in 2008 Presidential Election. At the conclusion of WE Vote '08, the initiative launched a new three-year campaign, WE Volunteer dedicated to empowering women and the people in their lives to volunteer for a cause of their choice for a full day, 24 hours, over the course of a year.
